Anthony Ramirez-Tiny Mites

Please welcome Coach Anthony Ramirez , or as the San Dimas football community know him as
"Coach Monster."
He played Defensive lineman at West Covina high School under coach Mike Maggiore, played Defensive limeman at Citrus College and received a Division II scholarship to West Liberty State West Virginia.
Coach Monster played his last year of eligibility at The University of La Verne. He has his bachelors degree in sports science and will have a Masters in Education in May.
He holds 14 years of coaching and 1 of those years was a championship season. Anthony has a family of 6, 2 sons 2 daughters and his beautiful wife.

Eric Rodriguez-Mighty Mite KNIGHTS


Eric Rodriguez played Varsity football at Chaffey High School all 4 years. Then continued his football career at Mt San Antonio College, where he played running back. He then later coached High School Football, Junior All American, and Pop Warner for 8 years. He has coached RB's, DB's and WR's.

Chris Rix -10U Black KNIGHTS


Chris Rix played Quarterback at Bishop Amat High School in the late 90s. He went on to receive a full scholarship to Florida State University where he became the first four-year starting quarterback in Florida State history, under Hall of Fame Coach Bobby Bowden. Chris concluded his career with the San Diego Chargers.

Following his time in camp with the Chargers, Coach Rix founded The Champion Training Academy in Southern California focusing on training and mentoring athletes on and off of the field. 

He has coached high school and youth football for the past 16 years at Bishop Amat High School, South Hills High School, Bonita High School and the Under the Lights League.

He has been a FOX/Bally Sports TV Football Analyst since 2005.

Chris is most proud of being married to his wife Anita for 16 years.

They have 5 children, Luke, Bobby, Chrissy, Eric and currently fostering a little girl. 

His family loves La Verne and San Dimas and are excited about helping develop the next generation of student-athletes on and off the field.

Manny Espinzoa -10U Golden KNIGHTS


Manny Espinoza grew up in La Verne (Bonita C/O 2001) and was a two-way Varsity starter (TE/LB) for two seasons which included the 1999 undefeated, CIF Championship season. He then played for Chaffey and Citrus College before earning an athletic scholarship to Graceland University (Iowa C/O 2006). After playing college football, he returned to La Verne and earned an MBA from ULV (C/O 2012). He has over 15 years coaching experience including high school (Bonita) and youth (Pop Warner/JAAF) football. He also coaches varsity WRs at San Dimas High, youth flag football leagues and youth 7v7 football (SGV Boys). He will have two boys (Nico, 10, and EJ, 7) playing for LVSD in the Fall.

Ricky Hawkins - 12u


Coach Hawkins has over 10 years of playing and coaching experience and different levels.

He lead a Youth at Rick program and believes in character building through youth sports.

"The only things you have control over in your life is your is your attitude and effort"

And he is showing tons of effort by dedicating himself to these kids ❤️

Mark Batrez - 12u


Mark Batrez Sr started tackle football at age 6. It became his drive in life. He went on to play 3 year starter on varsity OL/DL for Azusa High . He was named the Monte View League MVP lineman, played in the SGV area allstar games, and was seconds away from a full ride to USC to play prior to his knee injury.

That didn't fully stop him- He continued on to play semi-pro in the LCFL for 2 years. Then went on to become a father and loving husband. He has coached youth sports for the past 7 years and absolutely loves watching the kids grow and learn to love the sports.

His goals as a coach are simple yet meaningful.

Discipline and brotherhood, all while learning how to play a sport that will have a lifelong impact on who they are long into adulthood.

Ryan Lawrence- 14u

Ryan Lawrence played QB at Damien High School in the 1990’s. Then he played QB at the University of San Diego. He has been coaching high school football for the last 15 years at Glendora High School, Damien High School, Etiwanda High School, and at Alta Loma High School. He has coached QB’s, WR’s, RB’s, and Offensive Line.

Chad Hennessy- 14u


Chad has been involved in football since the age of 4 and has coached the sport for the past 25+ years.

He has coached at California High School, Monrovia High School and has spent the past 7 seasons as a defensive coordinator at San Dimas High School.

He previously coached 5 seasons at LVSD as well.

Chad's family includes wife Brenda, sons Yussef, Billy and Cash and daughter Eve.

All 3 older children have attended college on athletic scholarships and son Billy is currently playing college football.

Travis Burton- 14u

Travis Burton grew up in La Verne and played for LVSD, Bonita High School, College of the Redwoods and the Los Angeles Grizzlies.

Travis has coached at Upland High School, Colony High School and LVSD.

He is looking forward to developing champions in life through the sport of football.
